Help raise awareness for ovarian cancer on Friday, September 1st, National Wear Teal Day.

Ovarian cancer advocates nationwide will don teal clothes in support of ovarian cancer awareness.

Let others know about the symptoms of ovarian cancer:

    • Bloating
    • Pelvic or abdominal pain
    • Difficulty eating or feeling full quickly
    • Urinary symptoms (urgency or frequency)

See your doctor, preferably a gynecologist, if these symptoms are new and unusual for you and occur more than 12 times during the course of one month. Experts suggest a combination pelvic/rectal exam, CA 125 blood test, and a transvaginal ultrasound.

    Women's Ovarian Cancer Retreat

Women with cancer are often forced to balance their own health care needs with roles as professionals, caregivers, mother, daughters and wives. Our five-day retreats enable them to set aside daily routines, focus on their own needs and develop a core community of support. Camps are free to attend, but a camper must provide her own transportation. Space is limited. Sign up to attend.

Other retreats are planned for women's cancer, and young people diagnosed with cancer. Check out the calendar for more: http://www.campdream.org/programs/program-calendar/
