Getinvolved

Together, we can.

There are many ways you can get involved, depending on your time, energy, skills, and resources.

Become a Peer Mentor

Our one-on-one Peer mentoring program matches survivors with women who are newly diagnosed or facing a recurrence of their ovarian cancer. Applicants must apply and be accepted into this program. Training is provided. If you are interested in training to become a peer mentor, contact us at 877-682-2679 or info@ovariancancerosw.org

Teach the medical community

We participate in the national Survivors Teaching Students program through which medical and other health care students learn by listening to personal stories of diagnosis and treatment. Applicants must apply and be accepted into this program. Training is provided.

Be a Super Hero Sidekick

Promote our Trust Your Gut awareness campaign on social media (include #TrustYourGut), hand out bookmarks, hang posters, get your business involved.

Participate in a research study

You can also get involved by registering as an ovarian cancer survivor in the Oregon Ovarian Cancer Registry (OOCR), or taking part in a study of long-term survivors.

Take part in a clinical trial

Clinical trials are research studies in which doctors try to find ways to improve prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of cancer. There are different types of clinical trials and they are located all over the country. Learn more.
